Welcome to the end of the first week of 2024! We rounded up all the Galaxy S24 series rumors in preparation for the series' January 17 unveil. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is going to be the star of the show, as usual, while the vanilla and Plus will get better displays, slightly bigger batteries, and Exynos chipsets in certain markets. Samsung's pre-order scheme for the S24 series will be similar to last year's - you'll be able to get twice the storage for the same price if you commit to a purchase before the market launch. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will be able to record 4K video at up to 120fps, and then play it back four times slower for a cinematic slow-mo effect. It's also expected to offer seamless zoom at 4K 60fps. The Redmi Note 13 5G series was introduced in India this week, featuring three phones - the Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro+. The phone's global doppelganger, the OnePlus 12R will make its global debut on January 23. OnePlus Ace 3 unveiled with SD 8 Gen 2, up to 1TB storage and 100W charging It's expected to launch globally as the OnePlus 12R. Finally, we saw the Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro in fresh renders, revealing a design that's a departure from the usual ROG - more compact, and rounded, with a triple camera and thin bezels. According to previous rumors and leaks, the ROG Phone 8 Pro will have a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED touchscreen with 165 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support. At the helm will unsurprisingly be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm, paired with up to 24GB of RAM. The rear cameras are still a mystery, while the battery is expected to have 5,500 mAh capacity and support for 65W charging. The ROG Phone 8 Pro is also said to come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It's coming on January 16.
