It's just become even harder to earn Microsoft Rewards points as Microsoft has now rolled out its 15-minute search cooldown into even more regions, including the US and UK. Microsoft has made big nerfs to the Microsoft Rewards program in recent months, including removing points for Edge searches, slashing points for certain tasks on the Rewards homepage, a seven-second interval search cooldown, and cutting points for various punch cards and tasks on Xbox. However, a new change that restricts users to just three Microsoft Bing searches every 15 minutes appears to be the last straw for many Microsoft Rewards fans. The 15-minute cooldown first rolled out to Rewards users in countries such as Brazil and Mexico last week, but it seems that Microsoft has now implemented the feature in even more regions over the past couple of days, including the US, UK, and some countries in Europe. We can confirm that the cooldown is in place for us in the UK. US here, 15 minutes cooldown hit me. A quick peek at the Microsoft Rewards subreddit reveals numerous posts from users who are upset over the change, with some saying they're cashing out their points and quitting Rewards entirely. While searches may not be worth it, you can still earn a good amount of points from Xbox Game Pass Quests, tasks in the Xbox mobile app, and weekly streaks from the Rewards app on Xbox consoles, though there is a rumor that this could be killed off soon .
