iPhones Can Tell If There Is Something Wrong With Your Car: Here’s How

iPhones are extremely powerful devices that can do a lot of stuff that your laptop or even the gaming console can do. It can even become a portable gaming console or let you take DSLR-like photos. But did you know that the iPhone has another interesting trick up its sleeve which is becoming your pocket-friendly car mechanic? That’s right, thanks to the new iOS 17 update, iPhones now get an improved version of Visual Look Up feature that helps you identify text written in a picture or any photo you click. And now, the feature is able to help you identify the different symbols you have on the dashboard of a car. You might have noticed quite a few icons next to the speedometer of your car, and when these light up, many people start to wonder if there is something wrong with their car. But now, if you have an iPhone, it will tell what the problem is and all you have to do is just point the phone’s camera to click a photo and let Visual Look Up do the job for you. According to reports, the feature is able to identify the dashboard warning light, the icon for climate control, defrosting and more features available in your car. Having access to details for these features ensures that you don’t need to panic and head over to the nearest service centre to get it fixed. So how does one use their iPhone to identify these symbols in the car? – First you need to update your iPhone to the iOS 17 version – Click an image, and open it using the Photos app on the iPhone – You will see a new steering wheel icon at the bottom of the toolbar – Click on the icon and you will get details for symbols in the car All the data is fed through the Safari browser on an iPhone. We are not sure if the features of any car are recognised by this feature on iPhones but we’re going to try it with different car models and see if it works as advertised. Just knowing that something is wrong with the car is mighty useful and we’d recommend all phone makers to bring features like these for all users.
