Now, Elon Musk Wants To Make X A Dating And Hiring Platform

X and SpaceX owner and tech billionaire Elon Musk has expressed his aspiration to transform the micro-blogging platform into a leading dating and job recruitment site, emphasising increased video live-streaming for sports as well as political events. In a recent meeting with X employees and CEO Linda Yaccarino, Musk highlighted a focus on evaluating individuals based on their past posts on the platform. Musk and Yaccarino hosted their first all-hands meeting with X staffers last week, the media has reported. Musk mentioned that he wants X, formerly Twitter, to compete with various apps like LinkedIn, FaceTime and even dating apps. That would likely be the most crucial factor in determining their excellence and desirability as a potential hire." googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display("div-gpt-ad-6601185-5"); }); Musk also highlighted the platform's potential in the dating sphere, noting, "Finding someone on the platform... you can determine compatibility based on their posts." While discussing X's future, Musk mentioned ongoing developments for X Dating but emphasised the challenges in discovering interesting individuals and the platform's need to compete with various platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, FaceTime, dating apps, and digital payments. He underscored the necessity for a unified app encompassing multiple functionalities, expressing the absence of such a comprehensive application outside of China, similar to WeChat. Musk stressed the importance of video live streaming for real-time coverage of sports and political events, enabling individuals on the ground to share unfiltered, immediate perspectives. Notably, earlier in September, the tech billionaire had announced that long-form posts on the platform have hit 3 billion views per day and the numbers are rising. The SpaceX owner further compared the views of long-form posts on X with all newspaper articles viewed on Earth.
