An exclusive live image of the iQOO 12 has surfaced on Weibo, offering a first look at the phone's distinctive design.
The leaked image showcases the white variant of the iQOO 12, featuring a notable squircle-shaped camera module on its rear.
This design aligns with the previous iQOO 11 model.
In a shift towards enhancing gaming performance, the iQOO 12 is rumoured to introduce a dedicated gaming chip.
Unlike its predecessor, the iQOO 11, which integrated the Vivo V2 chip for gaming and imaging enhancements, the iQOO 12's focus is set squarely on providing an exceptional gaming experience, without involvement in photography or imaging functions.
Based on recent leaks, the iQOO 12 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch E7 AMOLED display with a flat design, offering a sharp 1.5K resolution, a swift 144Hz refresh rate, and an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Running on OriginOS 4-based Android 14, the device will boast a robust build, including a metallic frame and an IP64-rated chassis for added durability.
In terms of photography, the iQOO 12 is set to house a 16-megapixel front camera, while its rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel OV50H main camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 64-megapixel 64B telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
Under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, accompanied by LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
Expect configurations with 16 GB of RAM and storage options of 512 GB or 1 TB.
The device will be equipped with a substantial 5,000mAh battery supporting 120W fast charging.
Colour options include black, white, and a red variant likely featuring a leather back.
The iQOO 12 and 12 Pro are anticipated to make their debut in China on November 7.
Additionally, the standard model is expected to be introduced in India within the same month.
