Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9 users are expressing their frustration due to a screen flickering problem plaguing their devices. Reports from various forums, Reddit discussions, and Apple Support Community threads indicate that the issue appears to persist when users activate the Always-on mode on the latest Apple Watches. According to MacRumors, Apple has addressed this concern via an internal service memo distributed to authorized Apple Service Providers. The memo suggests that Apple is actively working to resolve the problem and will soon release a software update to rectify the screen flickering issue. Apple advises authorized service providers not to attempt repairs on the affected Apple Watch models. Instead, they are instructed to guide customers to wait for the upcoming software update, implying that the company is fully aware of the issue and is actively investigating it. While the memo doesn't specify which models are affected, user reports on Reddit and Apple Support Community indicate that Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 users running watchOS 10 or newer are primarily affected. As a temporary solution to the screen flickering issue, Apple recommends users to disable the Always-on mode. This can be done by navigating to Settings > Display & Brightness > Always-on. In addition to the screen flickering problem, some users of the latest Apple Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2 have reported another issue. Certain watch complications, such as Activity Rings and others, temporarily turn pink. Apple has acknowledged this problem in the memo and is actively investigating it, with a resolution expected in an upcoming watchOS update. Apple is scheduled to release the watchOS 10.1 update next week on October 24, but the company has not made any official statements regarding these issues or confirmed whether the forthcoming update will address them. It's worth noting that various recent Apple products, including the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, have faced their fair share of issues, with Apple addressing them through software updates.
