The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), an official government agency operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has issued a high-severity warning aimed at Android users.
CERT-IN, responsible for combating cybersecurity threats such as phishing and hacking, has raised concerns regarding the identification of multiple vulnerabilities across various iterations of the Android operating system.
These vulnerabilities pose significant security risks to users.
The warning issued by CERT-IN highlights the following key points: Vulnerabilities: Multiple vulnerabilities within the Android operating system have been identified.
These vulnerabilities can potentially be exploited by malicious actors to execute arbitrary code, gain elevated privileges, access sensitive data, and trigger a denial of service (DoS) condition on the targeted system.
Origin of Vulnerabilities: The vulnerabilities in the Android OS are attributed to weaknesses in various components, encompassing Framework, System, Google Play system updates, Arm components, MediaTek components, Unisoc components, Qualcomm components, and Qualcomm closed-source components.
